As Vancouver gears up to host the inaugural Web Summit Vancouver in May 2025, Innovate BC is launching the Road to Web Summit Vancouver (R2WSV) initiative to empower British Columbia’s startups.
This program aims to prepare local tech entrepreneurs to maximize their experience at the upcoming conference, which is expected to attract over 15,000 attendees, including international entrepreneurs, investors, media outlets, and industry leaders.
The R2WSV initiative kicks off with a one-hour virtual event on Wednesday, February 5th. This session will provide an exclusive first look at the events, training sessions, and programs planned over the next four months.
These offerings are designed to support startups in attracting investors, acquiring customers, and driving business development through the conference. Attendees will also hear from Web Summit’s team about their startup programming at the conference and how to get involved.
Speakers at the kick-off event include Tomica Divic, Vice President of Strategic Partnerships and Ecosystem Development at Innovate BC; Amanda Collett, Deputy Country Manager for Web Summit; and Margarida David, Startups Manager at Web Summit.
Web Summit, often dubbed “the world’s premier tech conference,” has chosen Vancouver for its first North American event, highlighting the city’s flourishing tech community that connects the Americas, Asia, and the Canadian West Coast.
This kick-off event is a must-attend for local tech startups, industry associations, ecosystem partners, investors, innovators, and community leaders passionate about driving tech growth in the province.
Don’t miss this opportunity to discover how you can leverage R2WSV to elevate your business and connect with the global tech ecosystem.
