Vancouver cybersecurity startup Cmd announced today the close of a US$15-million Series B funding round led by GV.
Formerly known as Google Ventures, GV is the venture capital arm of Google’s parent company, Alphabet. The funding round also included participation from Amplify Partners and Expa.
Cmd allows organizations to proactively secure their Linux environment by providing real-time visibility into user actions, customizable controls, and the ability to stop commands pre-execution without the need for human intervention.
Cmd was co-founded in 2016 by CEO Jake King, former security operations lead at Hootsuite, and Milun Tesovic, a current partner at Expa.
Tesovic sold his MetroLyrics startup in 2014 to CBS Interactive.
Cmd currently employees 24 in Vancouver and is hiring aggressively.
