The Duke of York founded Pitch@Palace in 2014 to provide a platform to amplify and accelerate the work of entrepreneurs.
Pitch@Palace gives entrepreneurs the opportunity to meet the people who can help make their business dreams become a reality.
Pitch@Palace is an initiative set up by the Duke of York to support entrepreneurs by providing them with the best opportunities to access mentors and advisors, distribution systems, and supply chains, connections and investment.
On April 24th, 19 entrepreneurs will pitch their businesses at the B.C. edition of Pitch@Palace Canada 1.0 at the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University.
Four entrepreneurs will be selected to participate in the Pitch@Palace Canada 1.0 Boot Camp on May 27th and the Pitch@Palace Canada 1.0 Final on May 28th, which will both take place in Toronto.
Among the 19 participating startups are:
Arbox Renewables – Arbox has developed plant management software for solar and wind operators that offers a monitoring dashboard, computerized maintenance management system, operations, finance and analytical tools through a single platform.
AVA Technologies – AVA Technologies has developed “AVA Byte”, a smart indoor garden designed for connected consumers who want to unlock their green thumbs.
FLOKA Calendher Technologies – Floka is a data science company that builds holistic wellness technology focused on women’s health.
Intuitive AI – Intuitive AI has developed “Oscar”, an AI system to educate users on recycling and help buildings to be more sustainable while diverting waste away from landfill, oceans and developing countries.
Locumunity – Locumunity has created a data and community-driven platform that directly connects job-seeking physicians with medical facilities.
Mazdis – Mazdis has developed an intelligent parking solution that integrates personal bicycles conveniently and securely into existing transit systems.
Neuraura Biotech – Neuraura develops neuro sensors which allow neuro-modulation and brain machine interfacing to help those affected by neurological, psychiatric and sensory disorders.
Reitium Blockchain Technologies – Reitium is a real estate equity crowdfunding marketplace that utilizes smart contract technology to offer investors compliance, privacy, security and liquidity of fractional property asset ownership.
Responsive AI – Responsive AI helps wealth managers boost advisor productivity with human-centric AI, and grow revenue through better, faster decisions.
Theravue – Theravue is a software as a service product designed to improve mental health outcomes for patients though a skill-building system to improve psychotherapists’ interpersonal skills.
ThisFish – ThisFish has developed “Tally”, a seafood traceability software platform that improves business efficiency and increases trust and transparency in seafood supply chains.
Vitalsines – Vitalsines has developed a consumer device to calculate an individual’s ’internal age’ based on aortic stiffness, a proven indicator for heightened risk of heart and brain disease.
