Vancouver’s first high school business hackathon is taking place next month.
Hackcouver 2020 is a hackathon for high school students oriented around business and technology.
Different than your traditional hackathon or business case competition, Hackcouver will require the application of both your business analytical and computer science skills to create a solution to a case study based on a global issue.
Hackcouver organizers are trying to create a great learning experience with this free and beginner-friendly event. “Regardless of your background in technical skills such as coding or non-technical skills such as marketing, you will have the opportunity to learn something new”.
Participants form teams of 4 or 5 and take on an assigned business problem. They will be given 24 hours to create an innovative and technological solution to the problem and wrap up the event by pitching their solution to a panel of judges.
Hackcouver 2020 promises to be a great opportunity to network with Vancouver’s tech community and learn from experienced mentors and guest speakers.
Hackcouver 2020 is on April 4th and 5th at the UBC Sauder School of Business. Apply now to participate.
