The 20th New Ventures BC Competition presented by Innovate BC has officially begun.
Despite the current uncertain circumstances, this year’s annual competition broke records with over 240 applications from B.C.’s early stage tech startups and this week they announced the 214 startups that are moving onto Round 2.
What’s next for the competitors? The ventures will attend educational webinars and are preparing a five-page submission for the next round. All educational seminars are be offered via live streaming with registrants leveraging these seminars in preparation for their Round 2 submissions.
On Saturday, April 25th the competition is hosting their next Startup Sprint with a full day of webinars that are free for all B.C. tech companies, competition participants and students.
Topics included in this sprint include Exit Strategy, HR 101 for Startups, Capital Planning, Understanding the pros and cons of different investor groups, Fundamentals of Your Money Model, and Due Diligence.
