Vancouver’s FoodX Technologies has landed a strategic partnership with French multi-national retailer Carrefour Group to boost the efficiency of the company’s e-commerce operations.
The Carrefour Group is one of the world’s leading food retailers with a network of more than 12,000 stores in more than 30 countries.
FoodX is a scalable end-to-end software solution for online grocery fulfillment and was recently singled out as one of five B.C. companies that adapted and thrived during COVID-19.
Under the agreement Carrefour will integrate FoodX’s end-to-end software-as-a-service (SaaS) system for online grocery management into their locations in Belgium by mid-2021, encompassing the full range of point-of-order to point-of-fulfillment.
“We are very excited to start this tech partnership with FoodX, which will boost the efficiency of our e-commerce operations. It will allow us, in one of our key markets, to pilot innovative ways to achieve a profitable, scalable and sustainable online business while delivering an outstanding experience to our customers,” said Amélie Oudéa-Castera, Head of the Customer, Data and Tech Division at Carrefour Group.
“We are very pleased to be working with Carrefour, one of the world’s leading grocery retailers. Carrefour is recognized for their innovation and focus on critical initiatives to support their customers, and we are proud that they have chosen us to develop an advanced, efficient online grocery business in Belgium at a time when the positive impact of our technology has never been more apparent,” said Peter van Stolk, CEO of FoodX Technologies.
FoodX signed a strategic alliance with robotic warehouse and fulfillment system provider Attabotics in June 2020.
