aDolus Technology has been crowned the winner of the 2020 New Ventures BC Competition, presented by Innovate BC.
News leaked today in advance of tonight’s awards ceremony that the Nanaimo-based cybersecurity startup took home more than $135,000 in cash and prizes, including the $115,000 Innovate BC First Place Prize Package.
Vancouver’s Daanaa claimed the $65,000 Innovate BC Second Place Prize Package for their sustainable wireless charging solution for electronic devices. E-commerce startup Fable rounded out the top 3 and walked away with $35,000.
This year’s competition received a record-breaking 240 applications and gave away over $250,000 in cash and prizes.
Since 2000, the Top 25 Finalists have gone on to raise over $860 million in investment and create over 8,600 new jobs. Notable past alumni include AbCellera, Lumen5, Jane Software, and Cuboh.
