Vancouver’s Damon Motorcycles has received a 2020 Popular Science Best of What’s New Award in the auto category for its critically acclaimed HyperSport motorcycle.
The HyperSport is the world’s smartest, safest, fully connected electric motorcycle with innovative features including the CoPilot™ 360° advanced warning system; Shift™, which transforms the riding position between sport and commuter modes with the push of a button; and HyperDrive™, the first 100 percent electric, multi-variant powertrain platform optimized for maximum performance, design and safety.
“Damon Motors continues to push the boundaries and redefine modern motorcycling as we know it,” said Jay Giraud, founder & CEO at Damon Motors. “We’re making motorcycling smarter, safer and cleaner than ever before. To be recognized by Popular Science for our innovation is a great honor.”
Each year, Popular Science reviews thousands of new products and innovations and chooses the top 100 winners across 10 categories. To win, a product or technology must represent a significant step forward in its category.
The HyperSport was launched at CES in January of 2020. The 2020 Popular Science Best of What’s New Award is the latest recognition for Damon Motors. The company has received several accolades in 2020 including a Best in Innovation CES innovation Award in January and a 2020 Red Herring Top 100 North America finalist award for CleanTech last month.
