Trulioo is partnering with the Land Title and Survey Authority of British Columbia (LTSA) to deliver real-time identity verification and document verification services for its legal practitioner customers.
Traditionally, lawyers and notaries would verify customer identities by checking ID documents in person. However, given the physical distancing measures resulting from COVID-19, this has become a challenge and LTSA is now able to offer the option to do everything online.
With access to Trulioo GlobalGateway using myLTSA, LTSA customers can verify and authenticate their clients’ identities online, offering quick and convenient services to British Columbia residents.
“Trulioo helps LTSA provide more value to lawyers and notaries who can now rely on our online platform to mitigate fraud risk in situations when remote witnessing and social distancing practices necessitate verifying their client’s identity online,” said Charlsy Dobell, Director, Commercial Products at LandSure Systems, a subsidiary of LTSA.
Trulioo will enable LTSA’s customers to take a risk-based approach, which means that depending on the level of risk associated with the information that the user provides, they can determine whether they need to collect more information to authenticate their identity.
“We are very excited to enable the Land Title and Survey Authority of British Columbia to continue providing services to customers during the pandemic by verifying and authenticating identities. With the world shifting online, it is crucial to partner with a solution provider that can quickly and easily integrate with a platform and make customers’ lives easier,” said Steve Munford, CEO of Trulioo.
