Vancouver Startup Week Is Back For Its 8th Consecutive Year

Mark your calendars! Vancouver Startup Week (VSW) is back for its 8th consecutive year but this year it is taking place in May.

The highly anticipated jam-packed week-long event will take place from May 21–28, 2021.

“The past year has shown us how resilient and resourceful the startup community is in Vancouver — and around the world”, said Vivian Chan, Vancouver Startup Week’s Organizer.

“I’m looking forward to the new ideas and insights we can access from VSW’s stakeholders this year. The team is especially excited about the increased amount of interactive events we have planned and will be taking advantage of new platforms to bring the events to life.”

More than 50 exciting virtual events including panels, hackathons and workshops are planned over the seven days. Attendees will enjoy the rare opportunity to learn from and connect with some of the industry’s most impressive leaders and disruptors including Techstars, Futurpreneur, Spring Activator and Hubspot for Startups.

Last year, over 2,000 attendees from 40 countries participated in VSW sessions and over 800 attended the Recruitment Fair.

A new addition to the VSW team this year is an Advisory Committee that features some of the industry’s most high-profile leaders including The Forum’s Paulina Cameron, Innovate BC’s Raghwa Gopal, TTT Studios’s Chris Hobbs, and the RISE Web Summit’s Casey Lau.

Attendees who purchase the Experience Package before April 30th will receive a Budgie Box — an ethical gift box that features exclusive VSW swag and select products from local small businesses who will host interactive events throughout the week.

Ticket prices increase after March 31. Sales for the Experience Package close April 30. Demand will be high so early purchase is recommended.
