Best Buy Canada is moving their headquarters from Burnaby to Vancouver in early 2022.
Located on the westernmost edge of Mount Pleasant, Best Buy’s new HQ will be in a new 10-storey office building currently under construction at 425 West 6th Avenue.
The new corporate office is located at the northwest corner of the intersection of Yukon Street and East 6th Avenue, across the street from Best Buy’s flagship store at 2220 Cambie Street.
The new location is also within very close walking distance to both SkyTrain’s Olympic Village Station to the north and Broadway-City Hall Station to the south.
According to Daily Hive Urbanized, Best Buy will occupy the top five floors — about 77,500 sq ft of the 177,500 sq ft office space being built.
The new location completely replaces the retailer’s sprawling business park office campus at 8800 Glenlyon Parkway in South Burnaby, where the company has occupied about 140,000 sq ft of space for the past 25 years.
The future of the Best Buy headquarters will depend on the continuation of flexible, semi-remote work as a permanent change.
The current Burnaby office has a capacity to accommodate all 1,200 workers with the company, but the new Vancouver office, at only half the size, has the capacity for just half at 600.

I bought a T.V. from Best Buy in Guelph, Ontario on Monday, Jan 23, 2023. Not in stock and was to be delivered to the store on Tues. Jan. 24. My brother was authorized to pick it up for me. On his way home from his work, he stopped at the store and it hadn’t been delivered yet. He told them he would pick it up at the end of the week. Unfortunately, he is unable to pick it up today, but will pick it up tomorrow. My major complaint is: There is no way for me to call the store. The number I have is for a call centre and they are unable to put me through to the store. This is an unacceptable way to do business. Is my T.V. still at the store for pick up tomorrow? I have no way of knowing. It is an hour drive for my brother to come to Guelph to pick up my T.V. and if they have sent it back it will be very upsetting. I do not drive any more because at 86 years old I decided it was time to give it up.
The sales person in the store was very helpful but after the initial buying of the product there is no customer service.
