Delta Controls Develops Innovative Solutions to Automate Buildings

August 20, 2021 by Knowlton Thomas Leave a Comment

Imagine, if you will, a touchless office. The door opens automatically, while lighting and temperature can be controlled via smartphone. Relieving yourself at the loo, you are pleased to find hands-free flushing, washing, and drying.

These were emerging conveniences before the Pandemic, but are now standard safety measures in a rising number of offices concerned about protecting staff as well as simplifying the workspace. And companies like Delta Controls are the ones who make it happen.

Delta Controls develops and manufactures automation solutions for buildings. The BC-based company leverages the Internet of Things to create automated systems for lighting, card access points, and more—while also supplying analytics for remote monitoring.

One of Delta’s newer and more popular products is the O3 Sensor Hub 2.0, which utilizes sensor fusion technology. The IoT solution integrates temperature, humidity, motion, sound, and light sensing in a single device. A future version is planned to detect specific sounds, such as gunshots and screams, which would immediately activate a preset emergency response.

The automation systems that Delta creates do not just improve the comfort, convenience, and safety of a building. They also help manage a building’s energy efficiency, which is part of the company’s goal of contributing to a sustainable future.

As a longstanding industry leader in Canada, Delta is in possession of accolades, including recent ones. Last year, Corporate Vision Magazine named Delta 2020’s Best Commercial Building Automation Systems Company. Additionally, Frost & Sullivan recognized Delta Controls with the 2020 Global Company of the Year Award.

“Delta Controls has ambitions to diversify its growth beyond its core markets,” Frost & Sullivan noted. “Solid expansion strategies, backed by visionary technology development and product leadership, have positioned Delta Controls as a serious contender in the global building automation systems market.”

Of course, Delta Controls doesn’t just win awards; they also win customers. The company today boasts a network of partners spanning more than 80 countries, which deploy Delta solutions globally.

“Our guiding philosophy is to ‘Do it right,’ which fuels our ambition to develop only the most innovative solutions,” said John Nicholls, president of Delta Controls, last year.

According to Delta, Do it Right is “where passion meets accountability—a state of mind that drives our actions.” The company says this value is “core to every relationship we build and it’s the last thought in our mind before a product goes out the door.”

If working for a company helping to build a sustainable future appeals to you, look no further. Delta Controls is hiring at Tech Talent Canada’s virtual job fair on September 15. This job fair is a unique recruiting event that connects fast-growing companies directly with tech talent. Best of all, it’s free to attend. Don’t miss out!
