entrepreneurship@UBC is hosting Immersion Week starting today, Monday September 27th.
Immersion Week is a five day online event for UBC students, staff, faculty, alumni and BC’s innovation ecosystem to come together with the purpose of demystifying entrepreneurship in the innovation economy.
This week-long event will cross 3 tracks of content and includes keynote speakers, insightful panels, roundtable discussions and interactive “Ask me Anything” sessions.
While all sessions will be online, event organizers are hoping to host a few “in-person” networking events in line with government and university health and safety protocols.
This year’s event includes a Venture Marketplace where visitors can shop from entrepreneurship@UBC’s community of ventures. Among the vendors are high-profile UBC-born startups Chopvalue, STOKO, and Matidor.
Part of the Innovation UBC network, entrepreneurship@UBC supports UBC ventures and entrepreneurs to generate social and economic impacts in B.C. and around the world.
To date, entrepreneurship@UBC has supported 561 ventures who have raised more than $1.39 billion in financing, generated more than $116 million in revenue and hired more than 989 employees, stimulating the economic and social landscape of B.C. while building anchor companies that have a global impact.
