Starting November 22nd, Canadians can complete one challenge a day to develop a daily coding habit through Lighthouse Labs’ 21-Day Coding Challenge.
Whether you’re a coding hobbyist or you’ve never laid eyes on a command line before, the 21-Day Coding Challenge will allow participants to learn how to code in a fun, free environment and win amazing prizes, including an LG Television and Home Entertainment System valued at over $5,000.
The challenge is designed to teach you basic JavaScript, which remains one of the most widely used programming languages out there, present on more than 95% of websites across the web.
JavaScript is one of the most in-demand skills for professional developers and coding hobbyists alike. But building a new skill is difficult. When it comes to coding, perhaps you’ve already tried to learn on your own. Maybe you started an online tutorial and stopped the lessons after a few days, only to return a few weeks later and find you had forgotten everything.
In just 15-30 minutes a day, you can build your JavaScript skills and start a daily habit of coding practice. To truly gain a new skill, you need to dive in and give your brain a chance to build muscle memory. Then, to make real progress, you need to commit to practicing coding every day.
The 21-Day Coding Challenge kicks off on November 22nd, so register now as an individual or as a team.
