Accelerate Okanagan’s OKGN Angel Summit is back for its fourth year.
The annual event is making moves to unlock capital for companies in Western Canada and expose Okanagan-based investors to the world of angel investing.
On March 16th, at a virtually-hosted public Finale, the remaining six companies will make their final pitch for their chance at a $150,000 investment. Attendees will also have the opportunity to hear from speakers, Chief Clarence Louie, Renée Warren and Dan Martell.
Since its inception in 2019, the OKGN Angel Summit has contributed to over $4 million being invested into BC Startups, training over 140 entrepreneurs and engaging with over 80 accredited investors.
“The OKGN Angel Summit has already created incredible connections and investments for BC-based companies. This year, we’ve opened up the program to entrepreneurs from across Western Canada as far east as Manitoba” says Jenna Stasuk, Programs Manager at Accelerate Okanagan.

“We started the Summit to increase the access to capital for growing companies in BC and now we can do the same for a larger region with the goal of strengthening the startup and capital ecosystem in the West.”
The Summit Finale is the culmination of a 10-week program where accredited investors and startup founders are introduced to angel investing through a guided, hands-on process.
This year, 32 investors are participating in the investment fund. They have been busy evaluating the companies since the beginning of January and refined the list of applicants to 24 quarter-finalists. These companies have already delivered a quick pitch to the investors during the quarter-finals and are now looking to make it into the top 12. Only 6 companies will be selected to pitch at the finale event.
