Accelerate Okanagan’s OKGN Angel Summit has chosen its 2022 finalists.
This year, 32 investors are participating, creating a $150,000 investment fund. These angel investors have been busy meeting week-over-week since the beginning of January to listen to pitches, meet with the founders, perform due diligence and select the top 6 that will pitch live at the public Finale on March 16th.
There are companies from across BC, representing a wide variety of industries – from waste reduction to athlete-to-coach communications to automations in cannabis production. Here are the finalists:
- Armilla, Salmon Arm
- Campertunity, Vancouver
- CertiCraft, Nelson
- The Rogerie, Kelowna
- Think Tank Automation, Vernon
- Tradle, Vancouver
The March 16th OKGN Angel Summit Finale is the culmination of a 10-week program where accredited investors and startup founders are introduced to angel investing through a guided, hands-on process. Community members are encouraged to attend and learn more about the world of angel investing and the startup ecosystem.
Since its inception in 2019, the OKGN Angel Summit has contributed to over $4 million being invested into Canadian startups, training over 140 entrepreneurs and engaging with over 80 accredited investors. In addition to the investments, the Summit is really all about activating connections in the investment community and strengthening Western Canada’s startup ecosystem.
