One year after we asked if Formula E racing might be coming to Vancouver in 2022 and Vancouver City Council said a resounding YES with a 9-1 vote, the event has stalled.
According to the organizers of the event, Vancouver’s first-ever Formula E Race proposed for False Creek on Canada Day weekend has been called off.
One Stop Strategy (OSS) Group, the Montreal-based promoters responsible for organizing the 2022 Vancouver E-Prix, said the three-day festival has been “postponed until 2023.”
“It was a decision made between the organizers and the City of Vancouver,” according to spokesperson Kirsten Mihailides. “The timeline and parameters for the event were not achievable.”
Look out for the Vancouver E-Prix in in 2023.
