Vancouver’s Damon Motors has received a 2022 Edison Best New Product Award for its flagship HyperSport motorcycle.
The HyperSport was awarded Gold in the Consumer Solutions—Sports and Recreation category. Damon was selected as a finalist from hundreds of nominations globally.
“At Damon, we continue to innovate and push the boundaries of what is possible on two wheels,” said Jay Giraud, co-founder & CEO, Damon Motors. “It’s an incredible honor to receive this Edison Award for our HyperSport superbike and our ongoing mission to make motorcycling safer, smarter and cleaner.”
Last year Damon announced that they would be manufacturing the HyperSport motorcycle locally in a 110,000 square-foot manufacturing and research & development plant in Surrey, creating more than 300 manufacturing jobs and more than 500 office jobs.

The 2022 Edison Best New Product Award is the just the latest recognition for the HyperSport motorcycle.
