On the evening of June 28, public and private sector organizations will gather to celebrate the clean transportation industry in the Vancouver area.
The Vancouver Entrepreneurs Forum is hosting the “Future of Transportation” at the Vancouver Convention Centre. This interactive technology workshop, reception, and panel aims to spotlight local innovations to reduce emissions and reimagine regional transportation, as well as network with policy and business leaders from around the world.
“Humanity’s evolution is marked by our mobility,” reads an event description. “We are shifting from gas guzzlers to electric supercars, from taxis to ridesharing, trains to Hyperloops. But where is transportation going?”
The VEF event plans to answer this question and more, tackling topics such as new technologies, innovative policies, and clean-transit concepts like micromobility.
“By having government, industry, academia, and researchers work together, the Metro Vancouver region can take advantage of its strategic advantages in clean transportation to assume a place as a global leader in the research, development, production and export of new mobility solutions to climate change,” Sav Dhaliwal, Chair of the Invest Vancouver Management Board and the Metro Vancouver Board of Directors, said last year.
“Future of Transportation” panelists include Sandra Phillips of Shared Mobility Architect, Jay Giraud of Damon Motors, and Simon Pickup of Hydra Energy. The panel will be moderated by Commercial Real Estate Broker Heali Thirlwell.
