Tech & People Network (TAP Network) is celebrating its 30th anniversary.
In 1992, a small group of senior HR practitioners working at local tech companies came together to better navigate the complexities of BC’s rapidly growing tech sector. What started as a handful of monthly meetings quickly grew along with the tech sector and the organization was born.
Most recently known as HR Tech Group, the organization rebranded earlier this year to mark its 30th year.
TAP Network provides 900+ members across Canada with access to tech sector data, resources, industry experts and an inclusive peer community that is driving innovation, collaboration and results.
Through their programs and events, they foster peer-to-peer connections, enabling learning and knowledge sharing and strengthening the Canadian tech sector.
“TAP Network has become a proud voice of People and Culture professionals in Canada’s tech sector and is trusted to accurately represent the challenges, successes and future needs of the industry”, said Stephanie Hollingshead, CEO TAP Network.
“Today, TAP Network has over 900 members at 250 tech companies, all contributing to the overall strength of the tech industry across Canada. Knowledge sharing and data continue to drive our association and we are committed to our values of community, impact and leadership.”
Earlier this month TAP held a sold-out 10th Tech Talent North conference in Vancouver. A second 2022 conference will be held in Toronto on October 18th.
