Videogame titan Activision Blizzard this month tapped Akshon Media as an official content production company for the 2022 seasons of Overwatch League and Call of Duty League, two of the world’s largest e-sports franchise.
Akshon’s work is not new to Activision. In fact, the latter has been utilizing Akshon to producing highlight videos for the Overwatch League for three years.
Roger Chan, CEO of Akshon Media, says his company possesses an “uncanny ability to create content that truly resonates with the global esports fans,” which is why Activision continued working with his startup.
According to Chan, Akshon’s team “understands the storytelling needed to enhance the overall fan experience.”
The Overwatch League is a professional esports league and features 20 teams representing 19 cities across six countries. The 2021 Grand Finals was the most-watched match in the league’s history, according to Activision, with a global average minute audience of 1.7 million.
Call of Duty League includes 12 teams representing four countries.
Akshon Media was founded in Vancouver in 2016 with offices in Los Angeles and Seoul in South Korea.
