Two Vancouver-based startups have been selected to participate in the 2022 Google for Startups Accelerator Canada program.
MintList and Miru join 10 other Canadian startups looking to grow and advance by bringing the best of Google’s products, people and technology to startups that leverage machine learning and AI today, or plan to in the future.
MintList is an AI-powered online marketplace that enables buying and selling of cars between consumers and dealers, all within 24 hours. MintList won the 2021 New Ventures BC Competition and recently raised a $2.6 million seed round led by Toronto’s StandUp Ventures.
Originally named Click Materials, Miru Smart Technologies is bringing next-generation electrochromic windows to the automotive, residential, and commercial markets. The ability to tint a Miru window using an app, smart device, or voice command provides full control of natural light entering a space, without compromising the view. This control promotes wellness and productivity, and can provide significant energy savings for a building or vehicle.
Now in its third year, the Google for Startups Accelerator builds on Google’s continued support for Canada’s startup ecosystem.
The program is one of five accelerators developed specifically for Canadian companies, including the Cloud Accelerator, Women Founders Accelerator, Black Founders Accelerator, and the Climate Change Accelerator.
