Axis Communications recently celebrated the opening of its newest Axis Experience Centre.
The Sweden-based tech manufacturer opened its latest Experience Centre in Vancouver. The launch marks the company’s second footprint in Canada.
Calling the city “Techcouver,” Axis says the Vancouver region was “a natural choice to support its vision for strategic growth and innovation.” According to a statement from the company, Vancouver’s two million residents include Axis customers across industries including retail, transportation, critical infrastructure, and technology.
Moreover, “Vancouver had the highest high-tech job growth [in North America] at 44%,” CBRE’s Tech-30 report notes. Vancouver created more than 20,000 new positions through 2020 and 2021.
“Opening the Vancouver AEC is an exciting opportunity to establish a presence within a burgeoning tech hub and engage with our current and future partners thriving in this vibrant area while doubling down on our commitment to a more sustainable future,” stated Keith D’Sa, country manager for Canada at Axis Communications.
The Vancouver AEC gives local customers and partners an opportunity to interact with Axis’ most innovative technologies in real-world scenarios before deploying their own. Axis technologies include Ambient.ai, an artificial intelligence analytics platform that integrates with Axis security cameras.
“Axis remains committed to our integrators, partners, end customers, and the communities that they serve,” added Keith D’Sa, country manager for Canada at Axis Communications. “By expanding our geographic footprint across Canada, we’re able to offer them hands-on access to our advanced technologies and work more closely together to create new solutions.”
The new Centre is located within Broadway Tech Centre, a 17-acre business campus offering sustainability features with the goal to reduce energy use through features such as green roofs, electric vehicle charging stations, and bicycle lockers to promote alternative travel.
Other Axis Experience Centre locations include Toronto, London, Dubai, New York, Hong Kong, and Tokyo.
MasterCard earlier this year launched an Experience Centre in Vancouver to feature locally developed products and solutions securing digital payments on a global scale.
