January 16, 2023 by Bulletin Board Leave a Comment

With an impending recession and continued global political instability, 2023 looks to be a challenging time for startups to be raising funding.

But it’s not all bad.

If you peel back the surface and look deeper, there’s a huge amount of “dry powder” in VC funds waiting to be deployed. Valuations are more realistic and quality talent is easier to hire.

The Asian Canadian Ventures Collective (ACVC) is hosting a panel on January 18th at the BCIT Downtown Campus featuring a roster of leading local VC’s sitting on ~$2 billion in assets under management.

Moderated by Panda Angel Partners’ Jenny Yang, the panel includes InBC’s Leah Nguyen, the51’s Yuan Shi, Amplitude Ventures’ Allison Gaw, VANTEC E-Fund’s Thealzel Lee and Relay Ventures’ Irfhan Rawji.

Register online to learn what they’re looking for and what they’re avoiding in 2023, to get the critical edge in getting funded in 2023.
