Toronto fashion tycoon Joe Mimran is shopping in Vancouver again.
The co-founder of Unity Brands, Mimran has extended his influence on the West Coast by acquiring two prominent Vancouver apparel brands.
Unity Brands, a venture co-founded by Mimran, acquired Kit and Ace earlier this summer and now it has added Casca Footwear to its portfolio.
Casca, known for its innovative shoe designs and orthotic expertise, had a retail presence on Vancouver’s Main Street.
While the founders Braden Parker and Kevin Reid will contribute to the transition, the brand’s future endeavors hold promise.
Vancouver’s Casca raised a $4.66 million venture funding round led by Khosla Ventures, and including Shopify founder Tobi Lütke, in 2019.
