For the first time this year, Entrepreneurship Immersion Week 2023 will be hosting a regional ecosystem startup pitch event featuring companies across our province who are creating transformative solutions in climate, human health and social impact.
The Regional Ecosystem Showcase will feature 10 companies across the province who’ve proven market traction and are ready to scale.
The objective of the showcase is to create awareness and connections for the companies across the province and demonstrate the tremendous impact BC entrepreneurs are having on Canada and the world at large.
Presenting companies will pitch live and in-person at UBC Robson Square (or online) on Wednesday, September 27th.
Among the 10 featured startups are Eigen Fitness, joni, and VodaSafe.
Eigen Fitness has developed Nodes, which are coin-sized wearables that empower gym goers to progress as fast as possible while avoiding injury. The new technology leverages real-time power, velocity, range of motion, tempo, and rep variation data to provide insight on ideal weight selection for each set.
Founded in 2020 by Jayesh Vekariya and Linda Biggs, Victoria’s joni is an innovative menstrual care startup that makes disposable and reusable menstrual products.
VodaSafe is the maker of AquaEye, a hand-held sonar device that uses the latest ultrasound and artificial intelligence technologies to provide record-breaking water rescue response. It counts Whistler Search & Rescue among its advocates.
