Second Century Ventures, the strategic investment arm of the National Association of Realtors®, today announced seven companies selected for its 2024 REACH Canada program.
The selected startups operate within a diverse range of market segments and specializations, from empowering agents and brokers through productivity and efficiency solutions, to resources that help real estate businesses combat fraud and address some of society’s growing housing challenges.
Companies joining the 2024 program are broadly categorized within three verticals: affordable and equitable access to housing; enhancing housing supply; and streamlining the agent and consumer experience.
Among the seven startups selected for REACH Canada 2024 are two from Vancouver, Proxima HQ and Iluminai.
Proxima HQ is a digital sales platform that automates each touchpoint of the conventional development presale programs. Its proprietary backend technology leverages Generative AI to provide a one-stop solution for websites, agent portals, 3D interactive touchscreens and digital brochures.
Led by a pair of real estate veterans Leon Ng and Zhong-Yan Chen, Proxima HQ has raised a pre-seed round of $1.35 million over the past year.
“Proxima HQ is the product of our two decades of work in the real estate sales and marketing industry. From the inside, we’ve seen our clients needing faster, smarter solutions that are inherently digital,” says Ng. “After quietly building over the last year, we’re excited to fully launch this to market with the help of REACH Canada, to fully propel market adoption”.
Iluminai is a continuous anti-money laundering (AML) compliance and monitoring tool for the real estate sector. Its software traces billions of dollars that flow into the real estate industry and flags any suspicious activity to help real estate agents detect and avoid money laundering-related transactions.
Second Century Ventures is the most active global venture fund in real estate technology, with more than 230 portfolio companies worldwide.
The award-winning REACH program helps high growth-potential companies scale across the real estate, financial services, banking, home services and insurance industries.
