B.C. is Canada’s fastest-growing life sciences sector, employing roughly 20,000 people at over 2,000 companies.
And according to BioTalent Canada’s 2021 National Report, the sector will likely require 65,000 additional workers by 2029.
To help fill that void, Life Sciences BC is hosting their 6th annual Career Connect Day on January 26th.
It’s a full-day event that promises to bring together 400+ life sciences employers, job seekers, and post-secondary students for expert-led presentations, networking and a job fair.
Attendees will be able to meet and learn from seasoned industry presenters on topics such as life sciences sector career development, talent programs, innovative approaches to industry talent gaps, and more.
Event speakers include Christine Genge of STEMCELL Technologies, Erin Bedford of Aspect Biosystems, and Janet Teasdale of AbCellera.
