Are we in the depths of an economic storm that just needs to be weathered?
Have we entered a new normal in which the role that Venture Capital plays in the tech sector has just simply changed?
Should entrepreneurs be looking elsewhere for funding to fuel their startups?
It’s time to answer these questions and more at The End Of VC As Founders Know It.
Hosted by entrepreneurship@UBC, a panel of funding specialists will look at the current capital landscape and the evolving role of Venture Capitalists in entrepreneurs’ journeys.
Among the panelists are Coho Growth Capital’s Mark Bakker, Fort Capital Partners’ Caterina Papadakos, Pender Ventures’ Maria Pacella, and Pocketed’s Brianna Blaney.
Panelists will also address the traction required to attract different levels of financial support and alternative sources of funding including grants and debt that can complement Venture Capital.
The End Of VC As Founders Know It takes place on Tuesday, February 13th from 5-7pm. Hosted at entrepreneurship@UBC’s Robson Square location, this event is sponsored by Boast, Coho Growth, Fort Capital, Ink LLP, and Talk Shop.
