The Seattle outpost of Creative Destruction Lab (CDL) just graduated another swath of early stage companies from its startup accelerator and among the grad class in Vancouver’s Cibotica.
If you attended the inaugural INNOVATEwest Conference last month in Vancouver, you’re likely familiar with Cibotica and their robotic salad station. It was a standout at the event, even when slightly overshadowed by the Cybertruck parked next to it.
Cibotica’s Remy is an automated salad & bowl assembly line with a modular design that integrates effortlessly into a restaurant’s operations and increases efficiency exponentially.
According to Cibotica co-founder Ashkan Mirnabavi, “Remy you can triple your output speed and deliver up to 300 bowls per hour. Ultimately helping restaurants save up to 30% on labor costs.”
Cibotica’s patent-pending and AI-driven core technology is notable for its adaptability to various ingredients, making it a promising solution for precise dispensing and portioning.
“As robotics engineers and restaurateurs, our mission is to help restaurant owners thrive by providing higher quality food at more affordable prices,” said Co-Founder and CTO, Daryoush Sahebjavaher.
“Through proprietary dispensing technology, our automated makeline transforms food assembly, ensuring precise portioning, minimizing waste, and optimizing operational efficiency.”
While Remy has obvious applications in large scale catering operations, Cibotica’s salad prowess recently caught the attention of the Pacific North West’s hottest pizza pie maker, MOTO.
The Seattle pizza chain is looking to expand beyond flatbread and trialed Cibotica’s salad-bowl robot in early 2024.
