Vancouver Startup Week is back—and it’s louder, prouder, and better than ever, according to organizers.
The weeklong event, which started back in 2014, is an annual celebration of regional entrepreneurs, investors, and leaders—with an aim to “build momentum and foster connections” across the Greater Vancouver startup community.
“Vancouver Startup Week is your gateway to mastering the essentials of entrepreneurship, from ideation to funding,” organizers wrote in a blog post, calling the event “the heartbeat of Vancouver’s entrepreneurial spirit.”
This year, VSW is celebrating a major milestone: 10 years of connecting and celebrating Vancouver’s startup community.
“In our 10th year, we’re amplifying our impact by engaging six key stakeholders to drive Vancouver’s recognition as a global innovation hub,” say organizers, promising unparalleled learning and networking opportunities for the 2024 edition.
“From expert-led workshops on marketing strategies to panel discussions with industry titans, VSW offers a diverse array of learning opportunities tailored to your needs and aspirations, a description of the event reads online. “Through structured networking sessions, casual meetups, and social events, you’ll have ample opportunities to expand your professional network and cultivate lasting relationships that could be the key to your startup’s success.”
In addition to industry insights, meaningful connections, and practical skills, VSW’s diverse lineup of events and activities are designed to inspire present and future Vancouver entrepreneurs.
Notable events from past Startup Weeks include the Investment Showcase, where emerging startups pitch their ideas to investors, as well as the New Ventures BC Competition, where BC’s top startups compete to win big prizes.
This year, attendees can look forward to the Recruitment Fair at Science World, an Ecosystem Showcase where budding entrepreneurs connect with various organizations that can help accelerate their growth), and more fireside chats.
