The Collision conference has set new records, gathering 37,832 attendees from 117 countries.
Marking its last year in Toronto, Collision will transition to Web Summit Vancouver in May 2025, promising a new chapter for the renowned tech conference.
This year, Collision celebrated a significant milestone with over 45 percent of startups (734) being women-founded, the highest proportion ever at a Collision event, up from 30 percent in 2023. Women made up 42 percent of all attendees and 35 percent of speakers across Collision’s 18 tracks.
Collision 2024 will see 1,623 startups from 57 countries exhibiting over three days, the highest number of startups in the event’s history.
Nearly 200 startups attended through the Impact program, showcasing promising ventures in climate tech, health tech, and deep tech. Additionally, 370 startups were Black- or Indigenous-founded. Participating startups engaged in 57 Mentor Hours sessions and nine startup masterclasses.
This year, Collision hosted 570 speakers, including notable figures like Aidan Gomez, founder and CEO of Cohere; AI pioneer Geoffrey Hinton; and tennis legend turned entrepreneur Maria Sharapova.
High-profile investors like Vinod Khosla of Khosla Ventures, Wesley Chan of FPV Ventures, and Nigel Morris of QED Investors attended, facilitating 1,762 investor-to-startup meeting requests.
