Since its founding in 2012, Launch Academy has promoted connections within Vancouver’s startup ecosystem through education, events, and more.
In July, the organization is plotting a Launch Builders Meetup, the organization recently revealed.
The summer meetup represents an opportunity to experience live demonstrations of the latest innovation churning out of Vancouver and to connect with regional entrepreneurs, according to organizers.
The Builders meetup is slated to take place on Wednesday, July 24th, from 5:30pm through 8:00pm. It is being hosted at the Vancouver offices of Microsoft, the evening’s sponsor, on Water Street.
“Our upcoming Launch Builders Meetup is a chance to see demos of some of the best new products coming out of Vancouver and mix and mingle with fellow product folk and enthusiasts over pizza and drinks,” reads an online description of the forthcoming event. “Join the Vancouver builder and innovator community for an evening of innovation and collaboration.”
Until Sunday, July 7th, startups can apply to demo their product at the event.
Over the past decade-plus, Launch has incubated more than 6,000 entrepreneurs from over 100 different countries, of which 300 have grown to Seed and Series A stages and raised a combined $2.5 billion in funding.
The organization was recently the “lead growth partner” for INNOVATEwest, a multi-day celebration of tech and startups that was held in Vancouver in April.
