Lime has been awarded the exclusive contract to provide shared e-scooters with custom Lime parking stations in the City of Vancouver.
This agreement marks a significant milestone in enhancing transportation options and promoting sustainable mobility solutions across Vancouver.
Lime will deploy its e-scooter fleet to be parked at designated, stationary Lime parking stations throughout Vancouver, providing residents and visitors with convenient, affordable, and sustainable transportation.
Vancouver will be the first City in the world to receive Lime’s new parking station based service.
The e-scooters will be easily accessible at designated stations strategically located across the city, ensuring seamless connectivity and accessibility for all users.
“Vancouver is committed to more accessible and sustainable transportation options, so adding e-scooters just makes sense! We’re thrilled to welcome Lime to our city,” says Mayor Ken Sim.
“This is a big move towards achieving our Climate Emergency Action Plan (CEAP), aiming for two-thirds of trips in Vancouver to be by walking, biking, or transit by 2030. By integrating lessons learned from other cities, Lime’s Vancouver-made system will feature docking stations to keep our streets and sidewalks tidy.”
Lime will launch in East Vancouver in the coming months, with plans to expand availability and accessibility across the City over the next year.
To support their growing operations in the region, Lime will be hiring across a number of roles locally including: Community Engagement Coordinators, Brand Ambassadors, Mechanics, In-Field Mechanics, and Parking Station Specialists.
