Have you considered what underpins every great invention? From widgets to rockets, the answer is a supply chain that converts napkin doodles into tangible products for the real world.
“A healthy supply chain is to a new invention what a healthy blood flow is to a human brain,” wrote Dan Lionello for Techcouver in 2021. “Without it, great ideas wither and die.”
Lionello is the founder and chief executive of Omnae, a provider of supply chain management solutions.
This month, his company was awarded a new patent from the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
The patent relates to Omnae’s digital platform designed to enhance the management of multi-tier supply chains by introducing a novel system for mapping and tracking dependencies across chains.
“In a world where only six percent of companies have full visibility into their supply chain visibility, our technology is vital,” stated Lionello recently. “Our platform empowers businesses to enhance transparency and trust across their supply chains.”
Lionello’s position is backed up by a McKinsey study from 2021 which found more than 90% of organizations prioritizing supply chain visibility.
Meanwhile research firm Gartner projects that the digital transformation market within the supply chain industry will reach $100 billion next year, driven by investments in AI and cloud computing.
Leveraging its newly awarded patent, Omnae also announced the release of its initial offering, OmnaeConnect, a cloud-based digital procurement platform.
“We’re focused on making advanced supply chain solutions work for businesses of all sizes,” said Lionello. “We’re giving small businesses the tools they need to compete, while also offering the scalability that large enterprises expect.”
“This is a game-changer for anyone dealing with today’s complex supply chains,” he added.
Omnae was established by Lionello in New Westminster in 2016.
