Two Vancouver-based organizations, Spring and Propel Impact, have announced a strategic partnership to help businesses and individuals thrive in the growing impact economy. The collaboration aims to provide access to knowledge, connections, and resources needed for success in addressing global challenges.
“The future of business is impact,” says Keith Ippel, Co-CEO, Spring. “From climate change to the rise of purpose generations Y and Z, organizations have a unique opportunity to respond to the world’s greatest challenges. Working together, Propel and Spring can go further, faster. Delivering greater support, more efficiently, to more impact organizations and investors to scale their work and accelerate the path to a sustainable, healthy, and equitable world.”
Spring, through initiatives like its founder accelerator and impact investor network, has already supported 3,300 entrepreneurs and 1,100 investors, catalyzing over $51M in capital. Propel Impact has helped over 450 youth explore impact careers, investing $749,000 into ventures that have collectively raised $90M in funding.
“Since launching Propel Impact five years ago, we’ve cultivated a diverse community of talent, fiercely committed to using their skills and careers to address our world’s greatest challenges,” says Executive Director, Cheralyn Chok. “Moving forward, we’re excited about the potential this integration unlocks for young leaders and impact organizations alike.”
Together, Spring and Propel aim to expand their reach, with Spring projecting $110M in capital deployment and Propel planning to train 300 professionals and support 50 organizations over the next year.
Both organizations invite aspiring impact entrepreneurs and leaders to explore their programs and resources online. Key offerings include climate innovation, startup investment, and Propel’s 2025/2026 programming set to launch in February.
This partnership underscores the rising significance of the impact economy, which is projected to grow from $2.5 trillion in 2021 to $6 trillion by 2031.
