Following a summer that included a historic round of funding, being named to the Forbes’ 2024 Cloud 100 list, and becoming a jersey sponsor of their hometown Canucks, Burnaby-based legaltech pioneer Clio this month hosted its latest Cloud Conference.
Co-founder and CEO Jack Newton set the tone for his firm’s 12th annual event with a keynote that included high-level insights from Clio’s ninth edition of its Legal Trends Report and a live demo of Duo, the company’s latest AI integration.
“The launch of Clio Duo marks a defining moment for the legal industry,” said Newton. “We’ve embedded artificial intelligence into the most connected platform in legal at an unprecedented scale. As AI adoption accelerates, we’ve built Clio Duo with precision and protection, laying a foundation for legal professionals to scale their practice confidently.”
Techcouver editor-in-chief Rob Lewis, who attended ClioCon this month, concluded that the company’s “impressive growth trajectory is based on an unwavering commitment to customers,” a commitment which “transcends the usual transactional relationships between software providers and users.”
The event was a success, according to Lewis, but Newton stays busy and intends to follow up ClioCon with a fireside ask-me-anything chat at an upcoming BetaKit Town Hall in Vancouver’s UBC Robson Square.
The Town Hall, slated for the evening of October 22 and powered by the Vancouver Entrepreneurs Forum, builds on an inaugural event back in May. The May Town Hall, held in Toronto, featured Shopify chief Tobi Lutke.
