Effective this month, FORM’s Smart Swim 2 goggles are available to purchase at 20 Apple Store locations throughout Canada and the U.S., as well as at Apple’s online store.
“Apple undoubtedly offers a premium retail experience globally, and we’re thrilled that customers can try on and purchase our Smart Swim 2 goggles in-store, or buy online this shopping season,” stated Dan Eisenhardt, founder and chief executive officer of Vancouver-born wearable tech innovator FORM.
“With Apple’s knowledgeable staff, we know the experience presenting our goggles will be exceptional,” he contained. “As a must-have fitness tech product, we’re excited to showcase FORM at Apple.”
In April, FORM launched the second generation of its Smart Swim goggles, featuring a patented augmented reality display, integrated heart rate monitoring, and SwimStraight digital compass for open-water navigation.
Building on the award-winning original Smart Swim, the next gen leverages Waveguide optics technology and an array of onboard sensors to deliver real-time metrics, guided workouts, and real-time swim coaching.
And despite the added tech, the new goggles are physically sleeker than their predecessor.
“Smart Swim 2’s built-in heart rate sensor eliminates the inconvenience of purchasing, attaching, and pairing a separate device and displays accurate continuous real-time heart rate for optimal training and racing,” Eisenhardt said recently, while “SwimStraight is truly transformative, particularly for triathletes, offering an intelligent guide to keep your swim path straight and true, saving energy, time and improving focus.”
FORM’s latest innovation, Script, lets users instantly generate in-goggle workouts by pasting, scanning, or importing them from training platforms, emails, or images into the FORM app.
Race-approved by World Triathlon, USA Triathlon, British Triathlon, and the Professional Triathlon Organization, FORM Smart Swim 2 goggles were recognized as “Best Wearable” at the Sports Technology Awards.
