November 6, 2024 by Robert Lewis Leave a Comment

Deloitte Canada has announced this year’s winners of the Technology Fast 50, Companies-to-Watch, Clean Technology and Enterprise Fast 15 awards, recognizing the world-class achievements of the best in tech companies across Canada for the 27th year.

The Technology Fast 50 program recognizes the world-class achievements of Canada’s leading technology companies—highlighting their commitment to innovation, strong leadership, and rapid revenue growth.

This year, the average three-year growth of the Technology Fast 50 winners is 3,559 per cent.

The list unveiled today highlights those who have shown true resilience, commitment to innovation, leadership, and rapid revenue growth between 2020 and 2023.

The B.C. companies on the Technology Fast 50 list are:

  • #4 – UniUni, Richmond – 12,854%
  • #8 – Aquanow, Vancouver – 3,022%
  • #9 – Hydreight, Vancouver – 2,443%
  • #22 – Operto, Vancouver – 981%
  • #25 – KOHO, Vancouver – 880%
  • #33 – Certn, Victoria – 662%
  • #42 – Traction Rec, Vancouver – 475%
  • #50 – Klue, Vancouver – 667%

Two B.C.-based companies – Veritree (3,257%) and Avricore Health (2,738%) – received a Companies-to-Watch award as part of this year’s program, a category that highlights emerging Canadian tech companies that exhibit strong growth and show potential to be a future candidate of the Technology Fast 50 ranking.

This year’s Technology Fast 50 program also includes the Clean Technology award, a ranking of Canada’s top clean innovators providing processes, goods or services that reduce environmental impacts.

Vancouver’s Oxygen8 (6,610%), CarboNet (967%), MineSense (555%), and Corinex (352%) were highlighted on this list along with Burnaby’s ENVO Drive Systems (217%).

One company from B.C.  – North Vancouver’s Jane App (320%) – received an Enterprise Fast 15 award, a leadership category open to companies that recorded a minimum revenue of $10 million in 2016 and a minimum revenue of $25 million in 2019.

This year’s tally of sixteen is a far cry from last year’s totals when Deloitte included twenty-two B.C. companies on their annual list.
