Vancouver’s Hydreight Finds Success in U.S. with ‘Uber for Nurses’ Platform

November 7, 2024 by Knowlton Thomas Leave a Comment

Vancouver’s Hydreight Technologies operates a mobile clinical network and medical platform—an “Uber for Nurses”—and it’s growing fast.

Hydreight is known for its proprietary, fully integrated platform comprising Electronic Medical Records, Telemedicine, and mobile booking and charting technology.

This platform includes a built-in suite of tools for accounting, documentation, sales, inventory, booking, and managing patient data, all of which combine to enable licensed healthcare professionals to provide services directly to patients at home, an office, or even a hotel.

The company claims to empower nurses “by giving them the ability to operate their own mobile wellness business with ease and without any of the traditional challenges” of running their own business. Currently, 2,500 nurses and over 100 doctors are part of Hydreight’s 50-state network being established in the US.

“We are building one of the largest mobile clinical networks across the United States,” says chief executive officer Shane Madden.

And Hydreight is expanding quickly, reporting over 2,400% in revenue growth over three years to earn a Top 10 spot on this year’s Technology Fast 50 from Deloitte Canada.

“We are thrilled to be ranked 9th for 2024, from the esteemed Deloitte Technology Fast 50 program,” stated chief executive officer Shane Madden.

The recognition follows an earlier nod from 2023, when Deloitte dubbed Hydreight a Company-to-Watch.

“This award not only highlights the company’s significant organic revenue growth, but also validates our business operations and key differentiators we have in the market,” Madden continued.

Shares in the publicly traded firm are up more than 100% over the past year.

“Our investment in our technology and infrastructure helped us to become the mobile medicine solutions for nurses, bricks and mortar and D2C businesses,” said Madden. “We continue pushing for growth, profitability, and capital market exposure.”

Each year, the Technology Fast 50 program recognizes the achievements of Canada’s leading technology companies.

“Technology Fast 50 winners epitomize the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurial excellence in Canada’s technology sector,” stated Anders McKenzie, National Technology Fast 50 program leader at Deloitte Canada. “Their success not only reflects their own ingenuity and dedication but also contributes to the overall growth and competitiveness of Canada’s technology ecosystem.”
