HIVE Digital Technologies, a leader in sustainable blockchain infrastructure, has announced the relocation of its head office from Vancouver to San Antonio, Texas. This strategic move positions the company at the heart of the burgeoning U.S. blockchain ecosystem and reflects its commitment to innovation, growth, and shareholder value.
The relocation to Texas, recognized for its business-friendly climate and robust energy infrastructure, aligns with HIVE’s goal to strengthen ties with U.S.-based investors and partners. The move is further supported by the pro-Bitcoin stance of the incoming administration under President-elect Donald Trump, who has pledged to foster innovation and ensure the U.S. remains competitive in cryptocurrency mining.

Executive Chairman Frank Holmes emphasized the importance of U.S. capital markets: “The U.S. market offers unparalleled liquidity, visibility, and valuation opportunities. Relocating to Texas places HIVE at the forefront of the global blockchain ecosystem, bolstering our ability to scale sustainably.”
As part of this transition, HIVE will begin reporting its financials under U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), enhancing transparency and comparability with international peers. CFO Darcy Daubaras highlighted the benefits of these changes, noting they will enhance operational efficiency and align the company with investor expectations.
HIVE’s relocation underscores its leadership in green cryptocurrency mining, leveraging Texas’s renewable energy resources to advance sustainable blockchain and AI-driven data center operations. While the headquarters shifts to San Antonio, HIVE’s CFO and CEO will remain in Canada to ensure operational continuity.
