Jane Software this week announced the addition of a new strategic advisor and executive partner.
The North Vancouver-born clinic management software company has revealed that Howard Spector is now an advisor and partner to the firm.
Bringing with him two decades of experience in the digital health space, Spector is cofounder of California’s SimplePractice.
Spector was accruing hours to practice as a licensed therapist when he saw the need for a simple online tool that would allow practitioners to track and report their training progress. Pursuing this project eventually led to the launch of SimplePractice, an all-in-one practice management software solution.
“I’ve always been incredibly impressed by Jane and what it offers behavioural health therapists in particular,” Spector said, describing the B.C. company as “a founder-led, mission-based, and passionately customer-centric company.”
Spector initially met Jane cofounders Ali Taylor and Trevor Johnston through mutual connection. The trio “instantly hit it off,” according to an official recount of events.
Moving forward, as Taylor and Johnston seek to expand Jane’s services further into the US market, they will be tapping into Spector’s knowledge and expertise for help.
“I’m excited to help Jane grow in the US and continue on their path while they deliver exceptional value to folks,” he stated.
More than 190,000 practitioners and 70,000 clinic support staff across a variety of non-primary care specialties today rely on Jane as they run and grow their practices.
Jane made Deloitte Canada’s Enterprise Fast 15 in 2024.
The Canadian company was established in 2012.
