Trulioo, the Vancouver-based global leader in identity verification services, has named fintech veteran Vicky Bindra as its new chief executive officer. Bindra steps into the role following the retirement of Steve Munford, who led the company through a transformative period of growth and innovation.
Bindra brings over 20 years of experience in financial technology, with senior roles at industry heavyweights including FIS, Visa, and Mastercard. Most recently, he served as COO and CPO at payments firm Nuvei, where he was instrumental in accelerating growth and building strategic partnerships.
“Vicky’s passion for building products and deep understanding of payments and marketplaces will be instrumental in shaping the future of Trulioo,” said outgoing CEO Steve Munford. “His deep industry expertise and visionary leadership make him the ideal executive to drive the next phase of innovation and expansion.”
Under Munford’s leadership, Trulioo tripled its revenue, broadened its product suite beyond data verification to include orchestration, document, and business verification, and reinforced its presence as a trusted identity platform for major banks, payment providers, and Fortune 100 companies across more than 195 countries.
As part of the transition, Munford will remain involved to support Bindra during the handover.
“Trulioo is at the forefront of global identity verification, and I am honored to lead the company into its next chapter,” said Bindra. “My focus will be on accelerating product innovation, enhancing our global reach and delivering best-in-class solutions to the market.”
Trulioo’s appointment of Bindra signals a continued focus on scaling its platform to meet the rising global demand for secure, frictionless digital identity verification in an increasingly complex regulatory environment.
