UniUni has established a strategic partnership with Global Robotics Services, the firms announced this week.
Richmond-based UniUni, a fast-growing last-mile logistics provider, will integrate GRS’s state-of-the-art robotic sortation solutions in a bid to “achieve significant operational improvement.”
“Collaboration between industry leaders is essential to drive innovation, efficiency, and customer satisfaction in last-mile delivery,” posits Jan Mueller, who serves GSR as Chief Commercial Officer.
Operational improvements will centre around utilizing automation to “dramatically increase sorting speed,” as well as leveraging software and hardware combinations that “ensure systems function with the highest degree of reliability” and 99.99% accuracy, according to an official statement.

“UniUni’s decision to partner with GRS is a shining example of such cooperation and highlights the company’s commitment to leveraging cutting-edge technology to optimize its operations and stay ahead in the competitive delivery industry,” stated Mueller.
Through this partnership, UniUni will deploy GRS’s 3D Sorting System and T-Sort Sorting System, which incorporate AI-powered navigation, real-time sensor monitoring, and advanced sorting algorithms.
“At UniUni, we continuously embrace innovation to refine our logistics processes and provide faster, more reliable delivery services to our customers,” remarked Peter Lu, cofounder and CEO of UniUni.
“This partnership with GRS is another step forward in our commitment to operational excellence, harnessing robotics and automation to redefine the future of last-mile delivery,” he added.
Launched in 2019, UniUni has near total coverage of Canada and is rapidly expanding south of the border to achieve a similar milestone in the US, with high-capacity sorting centres already serving 30 cities including Dallas, Los Angeles, Miami, New Jersey, New York, and San Francisco.
Indeed, UniUni is one of Canada’s fastest growing companies. The B.C. upstart raised over US$100M in just 12 months.
Recently, UniUni acquired Toronto’s Shippie, a regional shipping provider, and also partnered with Shipium.
