What began with a hand-built truck and a cross-country drive is now fuelling the future of fleet operations across Western Canada.
Founded in 2019 by aerospace engineer Tyler Reyno, Vancouver-based FuelSrv is redefining how commercial fleets stay powered — eliminating the need for fuel runs by delivering gas and renewable diesel directly to vehicles and equipment on-site.
Reyno, who holds degrees in mechanical and aeronautical engineering, pivoted from the software world to the fuel industry with a bold idea: that the gas station could come to you. After building his first fuelling truck by hand, he drove it — with his fiancée and their belongings — from Ontario to Vancouver to launch the startup.
One of FuelSrv’s earliest customers was Evo Car Share. But the partnership posed a unique challenge: how do you refuel vehicles that never stay parked? That logistical puzzle led Reyno to design and build a proprietary real-time routing platform, capable of dispatching drivers to dynamic, GPS-tracked targets across a city.
It was just the beginning. Today, FuelSrv’s suite of in-house technologies includes a smart driver app that logs geo-tagged updates and site-specific data, and a fleet analytics dashboard offering fuel usage insights, ROI tracking, and carbon offset reporting — especially important for customers using HDRD (hydrogenation-derived renewable diesel).
Now operating in both Greater Vancouver and newly expanding into Edmonton, FuelSrv serves construction companies, municipal vehicle fleets, logistics providers, and school bus operators. The company is focused on helping customers improve productivity, reduce carbon emissions, and eliminate the lost hours associated with fuel runs.
“FuelSrv was built for fleets — from five to five thousand vehicles,” said Reyno. “By combining service-first logistics with Canadian-made engineering, we’re solving real problems in an industry that hasn’t changed in decades.”
With deep roots in Halifax and a growing footprint on the West Coast, FuelSrv is a distinctly Canadian startup challenging legacy fuel providers through innovation, automation, and a relentless focus on customer service.
