Vancouver’s startup community will gather on March 3 for the 2026 New Ventures BC Competition Kick-Off, officially launching the province’s longest-running tech competition.
Hosted at Fasken in downtown Vancouver, the free event gives early-stage founders a chance to connect with mentors, investors, judges, and fellow entrepreneurs while learning how to navigate the competition and accelerate growth.
This year’s alumni panel features Chirag Jadwhani of PeerSupport.io, Samuel Berryman of ImageCyte Technologies, and Alisa Gagina of Sigen AI, who will share lessons from their 2025 competition journeys. The discussion will be moderated by Fernanda Whitaker, Director of Partnerships at Innovate BC.
The New Ventures BC Competition has helped launch some of the province’s most promising startups since 2000. Participants compete for more than $250,000 in cash and prizes, along with mentorship, educational workshops, and exposure to investors.
Applications for the 2026 competition close March 12 at 11:59 PM PST, marking the first key milestone for founders looking to scale in 2026.
