Following up a successful pitch day in June, LOI Venture is launching an autumn version.
“On June 14, we watched six of our startups raise over $5 million of investor interest in one hour,” the Vancouver-born venture capital firm said. “We were so jazzed.”
Their goal? Make the October 18 even better.
Speakers will include Tara Bosch, who scaled SmartSweets from startup idea to $400 million exit, as well as Ryan Holmes, founder of storied Hootsuite.
Holmes will be joined by fellow LOI Venture cofounder Manny Panda, who boasts well over 100 angel investments.
In 2017, Holmes launched League of Innovators because there was a shortage of mentorship for young entrepreneurs. The accelerator program has graduated more than 200 startups.
In 2021 Holmes teamed up with fellow Vancouver angel Manny Padda of New Avenue Capital to unveil a $20 million venture fund called LOI Venture to address a shortage of capital for founders under 30.
