Clio today unveiled a suite of new features and updates to its centralized platform.
The Vancouver-based legaltech pioneer stated in an announcement that customers will now benefit from “deeper integrations, increased productivity, enhanced client experience tools, and extended customer support as the company further innovates on the industryʼs first legal operating system.”
“Clio revolutionized the legal technology category with cloud-based and client-centered soware for legal professionals to run their practice,” says founder Jack Newton. “With todayʼs enhancements, weʼre raising the bar once again.”
According to Newton, Clio users can look forward to “deeper integration between connecting technologies, mobile-first product design, and customization of client-facing tools,” which he believes to be at the forefront of legal-tech innovation.
For example, “Law firms powered by Clio can easily operate within and connect to Clioʼs centralized platform, all while leveraging greater customization of their client-facing interactions through intake, services, billing, payments, and more,” explains Newton. “The worldʼs leading legal technology just got better.”
One new feature is Clio Grow, which help lawyers establish an online presence without learning design or code. Websites are generated by a form and design selection. Grow websites connect to Clioʼs online scheduler, intake tools, payments, client portal, and Google Analytics.
Clio also added text messaging to its desktop and mobile apps, which boosts two-way communication options.
“All interactions are securely stored in Clio alongside email, call, and client portal messages,” the company adds, “so all associated firm members have the context of what’s been communicated.”
At the 2021 Clio Cloud Conference, Clio announced its expansion into financial services with the launch of Payments. A year later, the companyʼs first payments product has grown in both the number of firms using Clio Payments and processing volume.
Thus the BC firm added new functionality to make it easier for lawyers to bill for their services and for clients to pay, such as bill personalization and QR code payments.
“Thereʼs tremendous value in offering a frictionless payments experience for your client,” says Jack. “Itʼs too important to the health of a firm to be switching between payment technologies, not to mention it creates unnecessary roadblocks for your firm to quickly and accurately settle client invoices.”
Finally, the BC centaur announced a reimagined user support experience, combining technical help with training for legal professionals looking to try a new feature or enable a workflow specific to their practice.
