Artificial intelligence tools are beginning to make their mark in many industries and work spaces, including in the field of investor relations.
Vancouver-based IR Labs has partnered with Alexa Translations to leverage AI translation tools for their capital markets activity on behalf of clients.
IR Labs is a tech-savvy investor relations agency founded in 2021 by Caroline Sawamoto and Alyssa Barry. Its 20-plus employees work from the major financial centres in Canada.
“As companies look abroad to access capital, it’s imperative to communicate with an international clientele,” said Sawamoto regarding the announcement. The translation tool will also be valuable to IR Labs’ domestic clients which have operations in Quebec.
For capital markets clients, there is often the need to translate news releases as well as various investor relations specific materials such as annual reports and financial documents.
“We live in a globalized world, and at irlabs, we believe that strong investor relations are critical to expanding a company’s reach. Innovation is a key driver of our success and partnering with Alexa Translations is a perfect fit as our business continues to expand,” said Sawamoto.
Will IR Labs be looking to leverage other AI tools to enhance its service offering? Time will tell as the agency has shown it’s committed to being at the forefront of investor relations and open to looking for ways to better serve clients.
