One of Thinkific’s four co-founders is exiting the c-suite for an advisory role with the Vancouver company.
COO Miranda Lievers is transitioning to an advisory role which will allow her to pursue her two passions: connecting with Thinkific Creators, and returning to her entrepreneurial roots focusing on the intersection of small business and technology.
Thinkific was founded in 2012 by brothers Greg and Matt Smith, Matt Payne, and Lievers and their nine-year journey from startup to IPO is a great example of what is possible for startups in Vancouver’s tech ecosystem.
“I care deeply about supporting entrepreneurs and Creators, and it’s been an absolute privilege working alongside Greg and our entire team as we built this business in support of them,” said Miranda Lievers, Co-Founder of Thinkific.
“At the same time, with Thinkific in great hands, I am very much looking forward to the future, and how I can continue to serve this community while focusing on areas I am most passionate about.”
The cloud-based software platform, which enables entrepreneurs and businesses to create and sell digital learning products, has had a difficult path to profitability since its public offering.
Thinkific has conducted three rounds of layoffs over the past six months with the most recent one last month.
